🤫 Gibberish Poetry, Legends, Spells and Rhymes
Single words whispered into the ear. Long phrases secretly telling stories or casting nasty curses.
We recorded 54 long pieces – legends, poems, rhymes, and spells – using both male and female voices. Then we processed them to sound like a diverse cast of humans, witches, ghosts, demons, elves, monsters, and even radio comms. Next, we took these voices and crafted plenty of layered group whispers.
But that’s not all – we sliced the recordings into single words to create handy menus… and processed them as well. The result? 75 menus, each containing up to 88 whispers spread across the keyboard. Everything was recorded in gibberish – a made-up language in which individual words may sound like real languages but have no meaning – making it universal for any musical context. What languages does our gibberish sound like? Some texts resemble Latin, others Tolkien’s Elvish or Slavic languages, while others carry hints of English, Italian, or even Arabic, often blending them together.
But that’s not the end…
👥 Dark Vocal Textures
We also recorded dark cinematic textures made from layered voices – sometimes from dark whisper-like phonetics, whistles, hisses, clicks, breaths, and creature-like sounds, sometimes from whispered single words, and sometimes even from subtle tonal singing. For your convenience, we processed these textures and placed them into another ready-to-play menus.
But! For those who want greater control over sound and arrangement, we created inspiring Disturbing Stacks – textures split into individual voices, processed, and spread across different octaves. This allows you to create entirely new textures through an inspiring workflow. As a result, each texture becomes its own sound palette, ranging from leading vocal articulations, through otherworldly effects, to blurred ambient soundscapes.
🎬 Playable Cinematic Vocal Bass
Low vocal bass is an instant cinematic mood-setter. Just play one note and you’re instantly taken into the world of film and video games. All the basses are tonal and playable, so you can match them to any key and register. They’re not whispers per se, but they blend perfectly with whisper textures thanks to their human, organic character (fun fact: technically, the bass cannot be designed from whispers, as whispers don’t contain tonal material).
🌬️ Vocal Ambient Backgrounds
Why create other pads, atmospheres, and ambiences when you can use those crafted from whispers and subtle singing? If your track features a human voice, you won’t find a more consistent background. To make it easier, we’ve added atmospheres to many patches, so there’s always something ready to use. A true time-saver.

Fun Fact: in Shhh 2 we have reused and redesigned only a few samples from Shhh 1 (mainly a few atmos, which were too perfect to record them again 🙂 ). The rest of 600+ source samples is brand new.

🎤 Recording Techniques & Artistic Approach
If you played our other libraries, you already know that our signature sound is natural, extremely close, organic, and beautifully imperfect recordings.
Where others remove imperfections – we keep them. Where others try to avoid noises, tonal artifacts, mouth sounds, or breaking voices, we deliberately let them stay. Sometimes we even emphasize them. Thanks to this approach, our instruments sound modern, natural, organic, and inspiring. This instrument is not for weddings, right? It’s for creative, intimate, and beautifully imperfect musical ideas.
To achieve this sound, we used two extremely close omni stereo microphones, which is quite an unusual technique for vocal recordings (btw you may find that we used different mic in the promo videos. That’s because our pencil mics don’t look good on the screen 🙂 ).
Why stereo? Because it makes very close recordings sound much more natural in the stereo field. This can only be achieved, if performer subtly moves their head while recording, allowing the sound to gently shift between the channels. This actually goes against the classical recording approach, which usually tries to minimize movement. But in our case, this tiny movement creates a natural stereo life — so the whispers sound organic even without reverb.
Why omni? Because there was a lot of movement while recording the textures, and omni microphones handle that much more naturally. To keep the entire library sonically consistent, we decided to record everything using the same microphone setup.
For additional control, we added a STEREO knob, which allows you to quickly narrow the stereo field or make it mono. In fact, some presets already make creative use of this feature.

1. Basic – a collection of 1300+ samples organized into 26 folders. It contains the most useful sounds while keeping an optimal disk space size, available in WAV and MP3 formats. [2.26GB]
